Damp, Condensation & Moisture Problems Properly Diagnosed
Don’t guess. Identify the cause before treating the symptoms.

Condensation Advice & Guidance
Condensation is one of the most common causes of mould and moisture inside homes. In many cases, it can be managed or significantly improved without major building work, once the underlying causes are understood.
Why condensation forms

Condensation occurs when warm, moisture laden air meets a colder surface. Everyday activities such as cooking, showering, drying clothes indoors, and inadequate ventilation all increase moisture levels inside the home. When this moisture cannot escape, it settles on walls, windows, and ceilings.
-
Use extractor fans when cooking or showering
-
Avoid drying clothes indoors where possible
-
Keep internal doors closed during high moisture activities.
-
Maintain consistent background heating
-
Improve airflow behind furniture and wardrobes
-
Open windows briefly each day to allow air exchange
In many cases, these measures can dramatically reduce condensation and mould. However, if problems persist despite good ventilation and heating practices, further investigation may be required to rule out other moisture sources.
